Orlando, Fl, April 7, 2017 – VistanaTM Signature Experiences, developer of Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts and an operating business of ILG (Nasdaq: ILG), announced that The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas received the prestigious Circle of Excellence “ACE” Community Service and Philanthropic Award at the recent American Resort Development Association (ARDA) convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The award, which recognizes an outstanding community contribution, was given to The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas for its numerous charitable efforts in support of the local community on the Hawaiian island of Kaua‘i. In the nine years since the resort opened, it has raised more than $400,000 for various charitable programs.

The resort’s charitable work includes an annual Jazz & Wine Festival that raises money for the Kaua‘i Lifeguard Association, which aims to maximize ocean safety; an annual Charity Golf Tournament that funds the resort’s various charitable efforts; the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, which raises money for charities throughout Hawai‘i; and fundraising for a scholarship program that benefits The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas associates and their families.
In addition to winning the ACE, three Vistana associates were honored in the Management & Administration Division. John Jones of Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida was recognized in the Resort Assistant Manager category for his role in the day-to-day operations. Jackie Knorr won in the Human Resources Professional category for her support of the company’s resort operations teams. In the Training and Development Manager or Team category, Ariadne Samaniego was awarded for her contributions at Sheraton Vistana Villages in Orlando.
